The first team slipped up for the second week running with defeat at the hands of Studley. The seconds team under the leadership of Robbo won again thanks to a good bowling display and runs from Cal Heanan and Gaz Lewis. The thirds completed a comfortable win in quick time with Stu Fielding looking like his fitness is returning with a quick fire unbeaten 54.
Sunday saw wins for the 1st and 2nd teams thanks to excellent all round team performances which keeps both teams in the hunt for honors.
Lichfield face Quarndon in the Dunstall Knock out on Monday 29th the game starts at 6.30 all support welcome. There will be a BBQ at the ground and is always an excellent occasion.
Sunday saw an excellent team performance from the seconds to record a win away at Tamworth and the first team won an unpleasant encounter at Boundary.
Outdoor nets will be on Thursday evenings at the club, starting at 6.15 pm. We have had several newcomers to the club this season, deciding to pick up where they left off at school/uni - if anyone is looking to renew their cricket career, come to nets on Thursday evenings, or pop along Saturday or Sunday and have a chat with team captains or any committee members on site.
