Lichfield Cricket Club, in association with We Love Lichfield and The Lords Taverners, will be hosting an action packed weekend of cricket between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th July, which will include some of the biggest names in the game.

The weekend kicks off with a Sportsman's Dinner at the club on Friday evening, where Ashes winning captain Michael Vaughan will be guest speaker accompanied by Test Match Special's Charles Dagnall as MC. The evening is open to anyone over 18

The main event is the fixture itself on the Sunday, where a Lichfield XI lead by new captain Cal Heanan will take on a Lords Taverners XI lead by ex-Warwickshire and Derbyshire seamer Tim Munton, who also made 2 appearances for England in 1992.

There will be a pre-cricket lunch available on the Sunday including Pimms reception, 3 course meal, auction, raffle and afternoon tea, which will also be attended by celebrities Chris Tarrant and Nick Hancock. Tickets are available at £55 per ticket for adults (£100 for adults attending both the Friday and Sunday events) and £150 for a family of 4 (Sunday only), with additional children's tickets available at £20 each. Entry to the ground is free for spectators and the club will also have a big screen to watch the World Cup final at 4pm.

Lichfield will also be hosting a target hitting final at the tea interval which is open to all clubs and players in the local area. For spectators not eating in the marquee, there will be street food vans available to the general public, in addition to other activities and games throughout the day, including regular photo opportunities with celebrities and players.

All proceeds from the weekend will be split equally between Lichfield Cricket Club, We Love Lichfield and The Lords Taverners, with all proceeds being reinvested directly into the Lichfield & District area, so please support the club in what promises to be a fantastic weekend of cricket.
